- Howdy folks, In the spring of '07, I retired from a 40-year career as a Research Engineer in Aerospace. Last fall I received a low-ball offer to lease my mineral estate from one of the major players in the Barnett Shale. Thus, I am a property owner and tend to see the situation from that view point. However, this blog is intended to provide information to help everyone involved with the Barnett Shale mineral discovery. Everyone needs to better understand all of the other stakeholder perspectives. This blog is thus for all residents, owners, operators and government regulators in North Texas. Balancing the benefits and burdens for everyone involved in urban areas like Tarrant County has only begun. Your comments are needed because they will let everyone know your informed perspective.
